About Retro Ruby Jewels

Retro Ruby's design inspirations are like a wild and fancy dream- inspiring, unique, and exceptional pieces. Our resin jewelry is a blend of vintage and contemporary styles. Each Retro Ruby pendant is a handmade repurposed assemblage. Fashioned with vintage Baltic Amber, beads, semi-gems, crystals, and baubles. Every color tells a unique story, and behind it all, is the curator of creation herself – artist and designer Sylvia Gortz. The inspiration behind our resin creations, is the artist's aunt, who is featured in the logo. She owned a small gift shop in NYC, where she sold her handmade jewelry during the 1960s. When she passed, she left behind boxes of vintage amber, beads, crystals, glass cabochon, semi-precious gems, and baubles. We've infused a hint of her legacy of 1960s nostalgia into our resin jewelry, and we hope you enjoy it! Read their story
