Hi my name is Preeti and LUX is the story of my passion to change the period paradigm, one period product at a time. In 2018, as I decided to go organic and use eco-friendly products, I suddenly realised that mainstream period products I was using were 'ingredient opaque', meaning they published no ingredients whatsoever, much less telling me about their organic status. So I researched a bit more online (as one does) and the more I looked the less I learned, which only served to intrigue me more. Much later I learned that the period products we were buying were made from 95% plastic which not only harmed the environment but really served to harm our hormonal balance too. LUX was born from my need to make a difference. We started by creating organic period pads with a small family run enterprise in Italy and with its success expanded to creating period underwear with a family run business based in India. We have enjoyed much success with these products, the ladies who use them absolutely love them and recommended them to all their friends and families. Women reported ease and comfort during their periods & have become repeat customers. Our products are vegan, cruelty free and come from an ethical supply chain. Our teams are paid fair wages, our produce is organic and the entirety of our, including the packaging is fully decomposable. We believe our products would make a wonderful addition to your store and we look forward to serving them alongside you.
