It began with one photo—a tabby spread across a pile of chip bags in a bodega on Avenue A. I posted it, and the city took notice. Today more than fifty thousand people follow the Instagram account, waiting for the next cat keeping watch behind the counter. The sticker line grew from those images. Retailers tell me they sell through fast—tourists pick them up as souvenirs, and locals grab an extra for the fridge.
