Susie, Zero Waste Accessories for Hygiene, Care, and Home French Creation, Responsible and Fair Manufacturing in India To take care of the skin while respecting the planet, Susie first developed a range of washable and reusable cottons in 2019, then created shower flowers, beauty accessories, and Zero Waste pouches. Susie then continued her Zero Waste approach by developing washable sponges, anti-waste nets, and jute tote bags. Susie is based in Alsace, specifically in Lampertheim, a small town located 10km from Strasbourg. The items are made in India, in fair trade, thanks to an exclusive partnership with Better Life Foundation, a foundation that manages a sewing workshop for women from disadvantaged backgrounds. The choice of raw materials: Organic Cotton and Natural Jute Fabric The fabric comes from cotton grown in India. It is woven and then printed on site, according to Susie's patterns and colors (OEKO-TEX certification). The entire production chain is controlled. The jute fabric also comes from India and undergoes no chemical treatment. The cotton is organic with GOTS certification. But then... who is "Susie"? SUSIE is an acronym, which means Sustainable and Inclusive Economy.
