About Goofy Froot

Goofy Froot, founded in 2016, is a comic book and art brand created by writer Mike Grossman and artist Max Travers. It features a "Frootiverse" of characters who are all life-sized fruits ("froots") with even larger personalities like the business-minded "Boss Banana", the katana-wielding "Poised Pineapple" or the loveable one-eyed "Chil Pepper." (Plus many more froots!) Each character represents a trait or "vibe" that we felt wasn't being given its due respect in the comics/cartoon pantheon. We believe art, comics, cartoons, etc are for everybody and we've endeavored to create characters that help others feel seen and acknowledged. We often say, "Goofy Froot is the comic we wanted to read most but didn't exist yet, so we created it." We also love that our fans often aren't "typical comic book readers" and we're able to bring new eyeballs into our favorite medium. We've expanded the Goofy Froot brand into other mediums such as street art, canvas works, enamel pins, rolling papers, cbd gummies, and apparel/streetwear. Most of our work can be seen around Brooklyn and Manhattan but we've been traveling the US for years promoting at comic cons and art festivals.
