I create lightweight, hand-painted earrings using watercolor, paper, and mixed media. My work explores joy through color, movement, and rhythm, resulting in pieces that feel airy on the body while remaining visually bold. Watercolor is central to my practice because of its unpredictability. I work with the natural flow of water and pigment, allowing colors to merge, separate, and settle on their own. This process creates translucent layers and glowing gradients that cannot be replicated, making each piece one of a kind. Nature is my primary source of inspiration. I am continually drawn to the effortless beauty found in plants, flowers, and everyday moments, where color and pattern appear naturally. These encounters guide my palette and remind me that art exists everywhere when we slow down enough to notice. I discovered art later in life, and learning to paint taught me not only how to make images, but how to see. This shift deeply shaped my artistic voice. The name Taal, meaning “musical time” or rhythm, reflects the inner pulse that guides my work and process. In a fast-paced, mass-produced world, my practice honors slowness and intention. These earrings are made by hand, leaving space for chance and variation.
