About Paper Lion Art

DJ was born in Colorado, but raised in Idaho from the age of four. He always had a knack for art, but didn’t realize he wanted to pursue it as a career until his senior year of high school. But that’s getting ahead of ourselves. As a child DJ loved to draw. No paper was safe. His mother would find papers, including mail that had been left on the table covered in doodles. (Luckily he had the courtesy not to draw on the walls.) Along with drawing DJ has always had a love of animals. When doodling in his sketchbook he likes to draw shapes and transform them into different animals and creatures (some more successfully then others). DJ likes to incorporate his hand drawn images with technology and create his final images with the computer. Even if the image was created entirely on the computer, it started with a hand drawn image scanned into the computer and used as a template. He is continuously experimenting and trying new and different ways to bring his visions to life.Read their story
