About Rathore Textiles

Rathore Textiles is a fashion brand with a strong identity in South Asian culture. We want to create a sense of community by authentically representing the demographic through fashion. The brand is not exclusive to only one group. The aim is to be appreciated and worn universally. It is created to celebrate a culture that we believe to be less highlighted in the western world. Thankfully today, the voice of South Asians is getting louder and louder. However, an authentic and high-quality fashion brand is yet to have followed. Until now. The original Rathore Textiles was born in the 1980s in East London, started by my Grandfather, Phuman Singh Rathore, selling Indian fabric and clothing. The shop became a local outlet for international fashion while also being a social hub. It is, like many, a great example of small South Asian businesses run in the UK, built from immigration, hard work and an extreme drive to succeed in business; a pillar of what Rathore Textiles represents. Thus, to create my brand under the same name has such great metaphorical and literal meaning.
