About Aruhma - Flavors of India

Our founders, Amar and Jenny, shared a passion for food. They are foodies and loved to explore new flavors and cuisines. When strict lockdowns were announced in various countries around the world, they were missing the delicious meals from restaurants and they had an idea. Why not turn their love for food into a business? Amar, and his co-founders found this as the perfect opportunity to create a food start-up that would bring unique and delicious flavors of Indian cuisine to people's homes - enabling anyone to cook a restaurant-style meal at home. They wanted to create an innovative solution that offered cooking quick and delicious meals at home. They started researching and sourcing authentic Indian spices, developing recipes, and getting it to Germany. The feedback and response was very encouraging. Finally, they launched their business: "Aruhma - Flavors of India". Aruhma is a combination of two words: Aroma + ruh (meaning soul). They started by offering a small selection of spice-mixes and slowly expanded their range as their business grew. Their customers loved their spice-mixes and appreciated the vegan and delicious options they provided along with the recipes on each packet. Despite the challenges, they persevered, and their business continued to grow. They turned their love for food into a thriving business, and they continue to innovate and experiment with new flavors, and their passion for food never waned.Read their story
