“Smoky Black” himself, Jon, took several years to develop his own BBQ sauce and perfect it over time to make what is now Smoky Blacks BBQ Sauce. As he introduced the sauce to friends and family over the years, he got request after request to take some mason jars of sauce home. During a holiday party, Jon’s close friend, Dustin, tried this amazing sauce and asked Jon if he’s thought about bottling and selling it. Several fun conversations later, they discussed what this could become and decided to partner to make this special sauce into something bigger and created Smoky Blacks Sauces LLC.
