I was a teacher for over 20 years and loved being with my sweet students but always felt a calling to pursue my art. It was just a quiet voice inside me that kept calling, and I finally listened. My childhood memories include sketching portraits with my father and painting abstracts with my mother. I miss them every day and feel closest to them when I am painting in mom's studio at our farm. I was blessed to be raised by such creative and supportive parents and I know they would love that I am pursuing my art and also honoring them. Each card in my collection begins as an original watercolor, pastel, or oil painting. They are printed on premium heavy paper and hand-detailed with sparkling foil, glitter, or a Swarovski crystal. This attention to detail and personal touch creates a unique card that will be kept and cherished. These are keepsake cards. I adore all animals and you will find many of my designs feature them. My own dog is a Newfoundland named Wally. He has a special place in my heart and my studio where he always watches and supports. Whether it is a deer in high-heeled boots, a dog wearing a crown, or a pig ready to party I have a passion to create whimsical and charming designs.
