Motte Cordonnier, It is a family brewery, founded in 1650 in the heart of the city of Armentières (North of France) between an arm of the Lys (filled since) and the rue d'Erquinghem (now rue de Dunkerque). Beyond beer, here is a story that is reborn from the ashes. A brewing heritage of nearly 4 centuries that comes back to life. A family who takes over the torch, before it goes out, of an industry flagship regional. Installed in Armentières, in the shadow of the building built by René MOTTE in 1922, we are inspired by his energy, his determination to recreate a brewery after the destruction of the 1914-1918 war. Our ambition: to one day be able to brew on the historic site! Today, with this experience of almost 370 years, we have decided to offer you our range of beers. It started with René (a 6° blond aging beer), a Christmas beer the Bière de Famille (amber beer — 7°) then our triple beer the Emile and more recently a brunette the 100 years of the Belfry.Read their story
