About The Vespiary Book Restoration & Bindery

Located in Missoula, Montana, Audra Loyal offers a wide range of book binding and conservation services. All books are made by hand from scratch with archival grade materials from around the world using techniques nearly unchanged over 500 years. With 20 years in the bookbinding profession, Audra began her training at UC Davis. She worked for over 7 years at the University of Montana, Mansfield Library Preservation Department, and received her MLIS from the University of Washington. She is a member of the Guild of Book Workers, and has operated The Vespiary since 2008, serving individuals, libraries, archives, museums, historical societies and more. Read their story
