Founded by a Brazilian mom living in the USA, Catavento began as a personal mission: to ensure that her daughter not only learned Portuguese but also felt deeply connected to her Brazilian heritage. Faced with the challenge of finding high-quality children's books in Portuguese abroad, she decided to create a space where families like hers could access engaging, culturally rich literature that would keep the language alive across generations.
