About Claire Ishino

Adelaide-based painter, Claire Ishino, aims to bring colour and joy to your homes and hearts through her cheerful artworks. With a background in jewellery and graphic design, and several years of experience living in Japan, she brings a unique perspective to her 2-dimensional paintings in gouache and acrylic. Characterized by stylized botanical forms, crisp edges between colours and small details reflective of her background in metalsmithing, Claire's work is inspired by Australian native flowers, words, colour and pattern. She collaborates with earth-friendly company Earth Greetings and other projects have included illustrations for 23rd Street Distillery, Jurlique International, Dusk Australia, and Jim Barry's Wines.
