About Arewa Baobab

Arewa Baobab was started by couple Lawrence and Oluyinka Ekiyor. Growing up in Nigeria we were raised consuming the Baobab fruit powder and enjoyed it with our meals, snacks, and desserts. After attending university in the U.S and moving to Canada, we encountered the fruit powder again on a recent trip to West Africa, and decided that we should share the wonderful benefits of the Baobab fruit powder with the world – Arewa Baobab was then born. Arewa Baobab Superfruit Powder is exported from Nigeria (West Africa). Our Baobab fruits are grown by local farmers in Nigeria that sustainably harvest the ripe fruits without the use of any chemicals and without causing any harm to the Baobab trees or the environment. The Baobab trees in this Arewa region have existed for centuries. These trees have been used by surrounding communities to promote good health and improve immunity. Arewa Baobab believes strongly in the power of raw foods and products from the earth, and the healing properties and health benefits derived from consumption and/or use. Read their story
