Velvet Brick is a story where science meets art. Established in 2020 by a one woman show during a time when it felt like the world stopped. Specializing in coconut milk soap, whipped soap, lip balm, solid perfumes, shampoo bars and more! Velvet Brick products are phthalate free, vegan, and palm oil free. Non toxic micas are primarily used for color. Phthalate free fragrance oils and essential oils are used for scent. The name Velvet Brick first came to mind to describe the creamy, coconut milk soaps because they looked like little velvet bricks. After Jewel, the founder and CEO, did some research on the name, she came to learn that velvet brick had an alternate meaning of upholding rules, being rooted in convictions and having standards but to also bring correction in life in a loving and gentle manner. It then felt fitting for who Jewel feels and strives to be as a person, as a believer in Jesus, and her role at her full time job. Jewel has connected different aspects of herself to Velvet Brick. The vegan products symbolize her time as a Veterinary Technician. She donates 4% of all sales to Adaptive Sport Connection to support and symbolize the work she does for people with developmental disabilities.
