Hi, I’m Emily. I live in Puerto Rico with my husband and our two boys, where our days revolve around sunshine, ocean time, and a life that encourages us to slow down. Guava Lane grew from that spirit, a collection inspired by the feeling of wearing something that transports you to your happy place. Our prints are created in Jaipur at a third generation family run workshop that has spent decades preserving the tradition of hand block printing. The workshop is Sedex certified and committed to fair trade standards, which means safe working conditions, ethical practices, and respect for the artisans who bring each pattern to life. Hand block printing is one of the oldest forms of textile art and is still done entirely by hand. Artisans carve each wooden block themselves, shaping every motif with simple tools and skills passed down through generations. The fabric is stretched in long rows and the printer works across it with steady, deliberate rhythm. Each color requires its own block, so the print forms slowly as the layers build. The result is a pattern with gentle variations that reflect the presence of the maker and the beauty of a human process. These are the values at the heart of Guava Lane. Sustainable materials, small batch production, and the belief that slow fashion creates pieces with soul. Thank you for being here, and supporting my dream, Emily
