About Impact Coffee

Impact Coffee by Plastic2Beans is a young impact startup whose roots lie in development cooperation. Together with the best coffee cooperatives in Ethiopia, they import specialty coffee beans and, in exchange, offer knowledge and expertise to counter the massive plastic waste crisis on the African continent. In concrete terms, this means that they support Ethiopians in setting up high-tech plastic recycling plants and in return receive the best, fairly traded organic coffee beans. Freshly roasted, the beans are then packaged in reusable glass bottles in order to be as environmentally conscious as possible here as well. Impact Coffee by Plastic2Beans coffees have a Q-grader rating of 86 and are therefore the only fairly traded organic coffee with specialty coffee quality on the German market. Thanks to the development work financed in this way, they are currently building the first bottle-to-bottle recycling plant in East Africa. Read their story
