About Scribblebard Illustrations

Hello! We are Sara and Alex - the artists behind Scribblebard Illustrations Inc.. Scribblebard is a small business based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We create greeting cards for all occasions, featuring our original hand drawn digital artwork. All cards are printed locally in Vancouver. A husband and wife team, and a primarily woman-owned business, we created Scribblebard to celebrate our love of gift giving, illustration, nature, and flowers. Many of our illustrations are inspired by things we’ve seen during our travels, while others are products of our vivid imaginations or the scenery along our daily seawall walks in Vancouver. Sara also illustrates many flower bouquets, inspired by over a decade of experience working as a florist. Sara has a background in visual arts, media production, and floral design, whereas Alex has a background in graphic design, software development, and animation. Sara is originally from the Okanagan in the the BC Interior, while Alex lived in Germany, Japan, South Africa, and Australia before settling in Canada. Read their story
