About Maya Joy in the World

Maya is a multi-dimensional artist that makes creations holistically - for the body, mind & spirit. She enjoys making personal, limited collections of fine gemstone and miniature origami jewelry to adorn the body and handmade candles, sage bundles and special curios to purify and charm the home. Maya also illustrates iconic figures as mountain portraits, offering them as prints, stickers, magnets and pins and she loves to create special portraits to commemorate loved ones. Her short collections of themed poems come in mini books, postcards and stickers to inspire, heal and share with other loved ones. Maya is originally from a small town in Northern California. She graduated from the University of California: Santa Cruz, with a B.A. in Studio Art (Concentration in Painting) and a minor in Physics. After living in Europe for a long respite, she moved home to California to work in her field and managed an art gallery for three years in San Francisco. She currently resides outside of Louisville, Kentucky, working and manifesting her own creative ideas!Read their story
