It all started with the corona-related school closure on March 13, 2020: We, the “moonbar” founders Alina Schrainer, Leon Gilges and Christian Spinnrath (every 15 years old at that time) did not want to waste our time on Netflix, video games and social media. In search of meaningful employment, we thought about a project where we could learn a lot of new things, gain new experiences and help people during the corona pandemic. After a few meetings, the Moonbar project was born. With the help of crowdfunding, enough money came together to create the first “bar on a stick”: a healthy, vegan and sustainable, but above all delicious fruit and chocolate bar, with organic ingredients without chemical additives, artificial flavors or added sugar. The handle keeps your fingers clean when you enjoy it. The “moonbar” owes its special consistency to special production: The bars are not pressed together industrially, but rather baked like cakes. The date-coconut bar is currently available in the online shop at www.moonbar.de and selected REWE and EDEKA markets. Further varieties are being planned.
