About Unstrung Studios

Megan Farrell is an artist and illustrator based in Rochester NY. Her career began in psychiatric Occupational Therapy, but when her chronic illnesses escalated and required her to retire at age 26, she turned to art to cope. Drawing on her disability journey and medical knowledge, Megan merges anatomy and botany to create art pieces that speak to the resilience, beauty, and heartbreak that comes with living in our human bodies. Megan specializes in woodburning, but as Unstrung Studios has grown, so has the mediums in which she offers.
