I made beeswax candles with my mom as a child. A few years ago I started making them myself....and Handmade By Soleil was born! My goal is to be a beacon of craftsmanship and tradition in a world of mass-produced alternatives. Unlike paraffin or soy, which contain harmful chemicals and additives, beeswax candles are a natural and renewable resource, they emit negative ions thus purifying the air and have a warm, golden glow when burned which most closely resembles sunlight. Based in Grey County, Ontario, the candles are handmade in small batches, with pure, local beeswax. While beeswax can have a very organic feel to it, I take pride in creating candles that also look elegant and clean. In keeping with ancient methods of candle making, Handmade By Soleil honors the past while championing a brighter, more sustainable future.
