About Maisha

Suzanne Jones along with her friend Marike Hall, are compassionate women who spent 3 1/2 years in Uganda helping war refugee widows develop their artistic skills. Upon buying thousands of pieces of their art to help them pay for their basic needs, they realized the need for markets to help them be sustainable. Over the past 10 years we have expanded working with artisans in Kenya. The most rewarding part of this work is when we visit our artisans and see how our partnership has transformed their lives and the reach of impact has blessed whole villages. We have supplied retail stores with our fair trade jewelry and home decor all around the world and look forward to serving many more.Read their story
