About NEBIBO

We are Shannon and Jonathan. As a husband and wife team, we started this journey when we realized there was no recognizable and reliable snorkeling brand that parents could feel assured their kids would be safe using. Our mission is to get kids off their electronic devices and out exploring the world. We wanted to create something to get kids to put down their phones and tablets and start using their imagination. Inspired by the movie Jaws, when police chief Martin Brody in the 1975 movie first sees the shark, he says the iconic line, “you’re gonna need a bigger boat”. Inspired, we decided this was our way to give kids a fun way to express their imagination, learn to swim and scare would be captains to: NEed a BIgger BOat! This was how NEBIBO came to life. We trialed different versions of the shark design until we found the perfect balance of design and usability. After 2 years of development, friends and family approved, we were ready to bring NEBIBO to market. Launched in 2021, we have had great customer feedback how their kids have gotten over their fear of water, explored the beach and even played in the bathtub. Now in 2023, we are ready to share NEBIBO with businesses around the world that would like to share in our vision, get kids out exploring nature, and let them, “Be the Shark!” Read their story
