About Saturday Glass

Long ago and far away in Murano, Italy, glass factory workers were allowed to use scrap glass and fashion pieces of their own design at week’s end. These creations are referred to as “Saturday glass” and “whimsies”. Many modern glass artists feel a kinship with these workers, these fathers of our craft, as during the week, we focus on jobs that pay the bills. On Saturday, we make what we want for our homes!
