About Wild Auroras

Hey there! I'm Kate, thanks for swingin' by. I love capturing the wonderful beauty God has created for us. I have lived in Northern Colorado all my life and feel so lucky to get to have an amazing place to work and play. I am always outdoors doing all kinds of different activities with my husband, sons, and dogs. I am always dragging along my camera and making my guys roll their eyes when I tell them "hang on I need a picture!" I think that is my guy's 6 most dreaded words because one turns into 30 minutes later more times than not. They are such troopers and humor me though. We are frequently out snowmobiling, ice fishing, hunting, boating, and or fishing which makes my heart happy that I get to venture out to new places and take photos and be with my family. I am taking a bit of a leap here with this, I play with nature photography because it makes me happy and I enjoy it. I finally agreed to show some of my images to some friends and family and with much prodding from them, I agreed to make a few of them a calendar for Christmas last year. The thing about family is when they think you should do something they are often let's say persistent sometimes to the point of relentless .... So .... here we are! Read their story
