I created the device after rescuing and fostering dogs and seeing first-hand the many personalities and behavioral issues such as leash aggression, excessive barking, jumping up, digging, food stealing, and other dog training problems. I realized there was a need for an easy and humane dog training tool to help people to help their dogs. Sadly, the majority of dogs in shelters are untrained and many are surrendered to shelters due to correctable behaviors. The DOGGIE DON’T® Device is intended to promote good dog behavior and correct nuisance behaviors in a manner that does not cause pain or discomfort and is quick and efficient. The DOGGIE DON’T® Device uses sound aversion to re-direct your dogs attention and to stop the unwanted behavior. The DOGGIE DON’T® Device makes an audible loud crackling sound- similar to a stun gun or TASER™. This sound will distract the dog when he is in the middle of a barking fit, lunging at another dog while on a walk or jumping up on guests. The distraction the device creates enables you to say your command so that eventually you can permanently correct the behavior. You must pick a command such as no bark, hush or off and use it consistently. Once your dog stops the unwanted behavior reward him with your voice or a treat. Never raise your voice- just be firm and consistent. You want your Dog to react to the sound from your device and not be startled by your voice.
