“Atypical Apothecary” prides itself on going against the grain and crafting products that create an experience like no other. Not only did I want to create products that would mesh well with all types of skin, but also one that becomes an integral part of your self-care routine. Handmade, infused with pure essential oils, 100% natural and created with a purpose...the Elixirs are made with your mind, in mind. The collection of natural body elixirs consists of cold whipped Shea & Mango body butters infused with an array of beneficial essential oil blend. In addition to hydrating body butters, Atypical Apothecary also carries aromatic essential oil roll-ons & hand dipped incense. The aromatherapy aspect is one that I focused on initially to help myself with feelings of depression and stress. Being a science degree pursuing student, research is ALWAYS on my mind. I need to know the whys and hows of everything. Essential oils have been used by many cultures for centuries. They are usually known for their calming, invigorating and uplifting characteristics, but I never thought about how they aide in the health of skin and hair. After realizing how impactful 2020 was on many people’s mental health, and health in general, I wanted to take my research to the community. & That’s how “Atypical Apothecary” was born...Read their story
