About Bird the Artist

Hello, I’m Bird the picture painter. Why greeting cards (and other products)? It’s a tricky business selling original artwork, having enough time to paint for Art exhibitions and wait for a sale. I had to make my Art affordable. I tested the water at country shows and fairs and took the leap in 2008 exhibiting at the trade show Spring Fair. A few years on, many paintings, lots of shows, packing thousands of cards and a collection of lovely loyal stockists, I’m still here. Painting time is incredibly precious, I draw and paint everything by hand. Each painting is available as a greeting card and art print. Designs have also been applied to textiles and homewares. Everything is printed in the UK, my cards just eight miles from the studio - great for proofing which I still do on every run.
