Featuring fun, whimsical, and feminine jewelry, Skinny Pig Designs is a handmade jewelry brand created by Moana-Marie Nazareno. Moana has been making jewelry ever since she was a little girl and when she first started posting pictures of her pieces online, people noticed her stuffed pig in the background of each photo. Many people commented that it almost looked like the pig was showing off the jewelry, so Moana decided to name her jewelry brand after this stuffed animal that she still keeps on her bed even until today. Each piece is handmade by Moana and is inspired by her beautiful island life in Hawaii. Moana spent most of her life on Oahu, but when she went away for college in California and Japan, being away made her realize just how special her home in Hawaii really was. In honor of that, she creates original pieces using a variety of colorful, beachy materials such as seashells, coral, and glass. With each piece, Moana strives to give the wearer of her jewelry their own piece of paradise no matter where they might be.Read their story
