Almost 40 years ago, the challenge to both work and breastfeed her child inspired a working mom to design and bring to life products she needed. The company has extended into the next generation as Jan’s daughters, Kate and Sarah, both mothers themselves, now co-own the company and run its daily operations. Kate and Sarah have continued the success of the company by focusing on universal accessories for "family adventures around the block or around the world." With the recent addition of the Disney Baby license to our portfolio, J.L. Childress now proudly offers over 100 SKUs designed by our team in Southern California, refined by our M.V.P.'s (Most Valuable Parent panel) and expansively distributed both in the U.S. and worldwide.
