About Blue Raven Handcrafted

Born on Kodiak Island and now living and creating at the base of the Chugach Mountains in Anchorage, Alaska, Jennifer Bravo-Grulkey draws inspiration from the rugged landscapes, dreamy sunsets, and the ever-changing colors of the hardwoods and wildflowers. Jennifer discovered her passion for the arts during frequent visits to her mother’s hometown of Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico. As a first-generation Mexican American, she was deeply influenced by the region’s vibrant indigenous traditions and art, particularly its intricate beaded jewelry, and rich use of color and pattern. In 2013, she founded Blue Raven Handcrafted. Over the years, the brand has evolved into a thoughfully curated collection of hand-knotted malas and meticulously crafted, handwoven beaded earrings. Each piece reflects a blend of cultural heritage, natural elements, and intentional craftsmanship, honoring both ancestral influence and contemporary design.Read their story
