About FliP crêpes

Hey there! I'm Antoine, a French guy from the city of Niort in Aquitaine. I moved to Chicago in 2000 after getting hired by a major US airliner. I was always a foodie, but also love the idea of traveling the world! Sadly, 9/11 happened. and like many, I was furloughed, but quickly decided to start a little business until the airline calls me back, so I became a crêpier in the Chicago Farmers Markets in 2002. Fast Forward, I did go back to the Airliner and was flying routes to Paris by night, but decided to open a little crêperie downtown Chicago in 2009 on the side. in 2016, I started experimenting with other types of flours and Gluten-Free flours in particular. My wife Sara insisted that "a Gluten-Free diet helps control her blood sugar spikes" (she a T1 juvenile Diabetic). After many failed attempts, I finally had a Eureka and was on track to develop the perfect Gluten-Free crepes mix recipe; one that does not compromise the taste, elasticity, texture or flavor. Flipcrêpes became a Gluten-Free Restaurant in 2016 and started getting attention from customers with Gluten allergies and Celiac. And many customers started asking us where to buy our Crepe Mix, so... I here it is! With COVID I decided to take Flipcrêpes in a new direction: So what's next? I am currently in the process of developing new mixes and plan to take you on a journey around the world of crêpes and international flavors & fairs. Fasten your Seatbelt everyone!
