About Navy Fields

Navy Fields (previously Woodmouse & Thistle) was created by Monica Johansen whom after years of searching for darling children's clothing for her 6 kids, decided to create an adorable clothing company of her own. In February of 2016 when Monica's 11 year old son relapsed with a rare form of Leukemia, she spent lots of time in the hospital with him while he was recovering from his second bone marrow transplant and considered starting a children's clothing company. After Zach made a full recovery and was in remission, Woodmouse & Thistle was born! Monica was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She met her Canadian husband at Ricks College and together they have 6 children. They have moved 14 times and finally settled in Highland, Utah. She loves cooking, camping, eating, and being outdoors. As well as creating comfy, adorable, endearing clothing pieces that are perfect for family photoshoots, special occasions, and your everyday activities.Read their story
