Lucas Kemna - between coffee and coffee My name is Lucas Kemna, I was born in 1997 and am the founder and managing director of "Lulus Coffee Factory." I founded Lulus Coffee Factory at the age of 18 as a passionate coffee drinker. You are probably now wondering how someone at 18 years old comes up with the idea of founding a coffee roastery in 2016. The explanation is actually very simple: I grew up in a down-to-earth family and drank these everyman coffees – basically everything that was black and bitter and cheaply available in retail or at the discount store. The thing is, over time I kept hearing "Eww, the coffee tastes terrible." At some point, I started wondering what the differences between the various types of coffee were. This eventually led me to delve deeper into the subject and try new coffees – with the result that I bought a small roaster with my savings. That's how it continued – from passion to hobby to profession, "Because coffee is not just coffee." That's what I've been able to achieve so far...
