About Mirage Metals

Recycled silver & gemstone jewelry, handmade with our planet in mind. Woman owned and made in Fort Collins, Colorado. Designer & maker Jess collected rocks growing up, at times adding googly eyes and other accessories. Without thinking much of it, she began working at a crystal shop while in college for interior design. Suddenly surrounded by giant amethyst towers and quartz-encrusted geodes, her interest in minerals was rekindled. Craving a change from the computer-heavy coursework, she enrolled in an introductory metalsmithing class, which aligned perfectly with her renewed stone obsession. She continues to learn about the materials and art form, and now explores ideas on a smaller scale through jewelry design with a focus on sustainability. Mirage Metals is committed to quality & transparency. Each piece is handmade in our studio using recycled silver and thoughtfully sourced stones. All chains are made in USA or Italy. Everything is hand-fabricated from wires and sheet metal or is created using the lost wax casting process, an ancient technique that transforms a wax model into metal.
