How it started; Mark's passion is BBQ. In the '70s, at a Monday night S.F. 49er's tailgate party in Candlestick Park, John Madden enjoyed Mark's famous smoked prime rib. John liked them so much that he showed the tasty rib to the T.V. viewers while broadcasting from the booth. Mark has loved cooking, BBQ, and smoking since his early teens. His love of cooking with his 50+ years in the restaurant business lead him to the rub business he has today. In 2008 Mark and his wife, Cindy Lynn, created their first three rubs: Black Label, Steak It, and VooDoo Rib rub to sell on their website. Since then, they have added eight more flavors.
