About Black Ink

Black Ink is the partnership of Jon and David Swartz. Two brothers that grew up exploring their artistic expression in as many ways as their imaginations would allow them. After graduating from Philadelphia's Tyler School of art with BFA's in graphic design they decided not to pursue careers in commercial art. Following their passions to paint they started selling their work at music and arts festivals, which has lead to a strong fan base and wide network across the country. Jon and David have also shown at galleries, done mural and commission work, worked with musicians and organizations to create album and poster artwork. They hope to continue to spread joy and emotional connection through their eccentric, humorous, and colorful artwork for years to come. Read their story
