About IDEA Collective

IDEA Collective was founded by Sam Castner and Lindsey Dean, two artists whose highest excitement is to inspire young people to learn with their hands, connect with nature, and enjoy the journey of making. Their studio resides and operates on a farm overlooking Keuka Lake, which for 9 generations has been intimately intertwined with their community in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. As a team, they are exploring new ideas to bring hands-on, eco-friendly, and art-integrated learning to youth. MakerKid Kits were created by IDEA to bring fun, nature-based learning to homes, while helping parents provide meaningful experiences to their children. Kids will learn about environmental subjects like botany, biology, and ecology, while exercising hand skills, practicing environmental stewardship, and creating fun memories with their families. All products are locally sourced and hand-manufactured in the USA. Their packaging is recycled and recyclable and all materials are non-toxic, water-based, and heavy metal-free.
