About AfricanTextil

A meeting place between African fabrics and the rest of the world AfricanTextil was born from the desire to discover and promote African fabrics in a unique location in Dakar (Senegal, West Africa). We source African fabrics to find the best fabrics and other pagnes for professionals (stylists, decorators, fabric professionals) as well as individuals. We are convinced that the variety of African fabrics only needs to be showcased and to dazzle the rest of the world! Promoting traditional craftsmanship All our fabrics are exclusively produced in Africa. They are rare traditional products highlighting ancestral know-how (Bogolan from Mali, Lépi from Guinea-Conakry, woven pagne from Burkina Faso, Berber fabrics from Morocco...). Moreover, our approach is to achieve a real sharing of added value by fairly compensating our suppliers across West Africa. An entrepreneurial and human adventure The project was born from the meeting in Dakar of two diametrically opposed paths, between Europe and Africa, united by a love of fabrics, rigor, and unwavering optimism. The project was inspired by the dynamism of the Senegalese capital and its ethnic mosaic, making this city a unique place conducive to creation.Read their story
