About Emilie Taylor

I started my journey with Watercolors at the end of 2016. Painting started as a hobby and quickly became a part-time job. Then over the course of a few years, I found painting to be my dream job, and in 2019 started focusing on my art as my Career. Nothing fits the way art does and I can’t believe I get to pursue this dream daily. Nature is such a strong influence in my work it inspires me to find the beauty in the simple and the complex. Like painting a set of cherry blossoms or a whole landscape in the shape of a state. Traveling is something else that inspires me, and while I don't travel as much as I'd like painting destinations sometimes feels like seeing the world. My 50 states series was a project I worked on full time for 3 and half month, researching and then painting each state one by one. The project is a favorite of mine and I love the way it continues to grow as I add new versions and countries now.Read their story
