About Regent Coffee

From humble beginnings leaving their home and careers behind in China to pursue the American dream, coffee sparked the imagination. Owner and roaster Leon, his wife Di and daughter, are the heart of Regent Coffee. Leon has always had a passion for coffee. Born, grew up, and lived in China until thirty-two, coffee had always been interesting to him. Gradually "just a hobby" wasn't enough. After working at a bank for nine years, it was time for a change, and it was then Leon decided to open up his first shop in China. Working extremely hard on trying to create a business that many young adults dream of. Unfortunately, it didn't go as planned. Going back to the drawing board, Leon gained a wealth of deep knowledge of coffee, attempting to learn everything he could about the subject. Many hours were spent reading books, and experimenting laboriously with roasting. As time passed, he became even more fascinated and excited by coffee. Today, that same excitement is at the heart of my newest café here in the United States. Regent is the only coffee roaster producing Barrel Aged Cold Brew Coffee in small-batches, using top-shelf specialty coffee beans (fair trade/direct trade).
