About Snatch Magazine

Snatch Magazine is an independent publication celebrating women's sports through the eyes of the fans who love them. Entirely bootstrapped since 2017, it's built a thriving community around authentic storytelling, bold design, and the belief that women's sports deserves media as vibrant as the athletes and fans who fuel it. The project is artist-run by Sophia Mitropoulos, who worked with 40+ writers, photographers, and artists for the debut issue. The 96-page first edition sold out in three weeks, proving there's hunger for sports media that prioritizes joy, community, and queer representation over clickbait headlines. Beyond the magazine, Snatch creates paper products and apparel that bring the same energy—celebrating fans, athletes, and the culture of women's sports. It exists because fans deserve better: documentation of the culture, celebration of the community, and proof that independent publishing can thrive while staying true to its values.Read their story
