I’ve always believed people deserve more than a passing glance — they deserve to be seen. My name is Deidra McNish-Brown. I’m a nurse. I’m an artist. And I’m the founder of D’s Delights. I started making jewelry in 2020 during one of the hardest years I’ve ever lived through. As a full-time nurse in NYC, I was pouring everything I had into caring for others. But in the quiet moments, I needed something that helped me reconnect to myself. So I started creating — simple pieces, strung by hand on my bedroom floor in East Flatbush. When I gave them to friends and coworkers, something shifted. that’s when I realized what D’s Delights could become: not just jewelry, but a way for people to feel seen. I’m a first-generation Jamaican-American. I grew up in Brooklyn but spent summers in Jamaica, surrounded by family, music, nature, and expression that didn’t need permission. That mix of culture, beauty, strength, and softness lives in every piece I make. This brand is personal. But it’s for everyone. Every D’s Delights piece is designed to reflect identity, hold meaning, and offer a small reminder that you matter — not just when you’re at your most productive and polished, but also when you’re quiet, tired, or just trying to figure things out.
