Much of Sarah Schools’ work reflects the warm, seasonal glow of the Carolinas. As both an oil painter and watercolor artist, she finds joy in discovering color in unexpected places—whether it's the dreaminess of golden hour, the soft depth of a cornflower blue shadow, or the delicate light that appears when the sun hits just right. Her creative process often involves experimenting with color to convey mood and atmosphere, layering bright hues and subtle tones with careful detail.
