My jewelry explores the human need to be connected to the outdoor world, using nature inspired drawings to help the wearer bring the outside in. Using obvious and subtle suggestions of nature, I create wearable inspiration and peace of mind that one might receive when taking a walk in the woods. My process involves incorporating personal observations and experiences, which are then translated into jewelry sized narratives to help the owner of the pieces reflect on their own connections to the natural world. Traditional metal smithing techniques and a love for all printing techniques are the foundation of my vision to create textures and shapes to enable my storytelling. Roller-printing, forming and cold connections are my favorite methods. Sterling silver and semi precious stones are the materials in my main collections with a little bit of gold, brass and alternative materials scattered throughout smaller collections.Read their story
