AMEVIE is a Toronto based socially responsible sunglasses brand. Inspired by the sun and designed for real life, Amevie takes eyewear to a whole new level through its commitment to sun safe education and a dedication to promoting healthy eyesight across the globe. Prompted on by her own battle with skin Lupus, Amevie’s founder, Ana Caracaleanu, launched the company to provide consumers with stylish, yet functional, sunglasses while providing a broader education about the importance of sun protection. The collection is designed in Toronto, Canada and manufactured overseas with certified partners and in limited quantities. Bamboo is a sustainable and renewable material, sourced from FSC approved suppliers. Every pair is carefully constructed with CAT3 UVA/UVB blocking, polarized lenses and they come with a foldable case made from recycled paper. Our products are both CE and SGS certified for compliance. Amevie is an official partner of Seva Canada, whose mission is to restore eyesight and prevent blindness in developing countries. For each pair of sunglasses sold, Amevie donates a portion of the revenue to Seva Canada to ensure a child in need gets a pair of prescription eyeglasses.
