About Golden Lantern Coffee Roasters

It started with an idea on the other side of the world: born from venturing into what Mark Twain referred to as “the territory”. A decade ago we started getting in the van, stepping on the bus, and boarding the plane, and while our travels took us around the world many times over, the experience of coffee culture became a constant in our day. As we ventured, what started as simply searching for a good cup of coffee turned into a ritual of culture, community, and of course caffeine. Spending years as enthusiasts, our goal was to eventually bring the finest aspects of specialty coffee culture around the world back home, to grow with our Southern California community. Like many great roasters before us, we started in the garage. Countless batches were roasted, tasted, and roasted again. Hundreds of shots were pulled, gallons of coffee brewed. As our craft shaped, so did our ideals. It was simply not enough to just turn beans brown, we needed to be meticulous about the farms we supported, the beans we roasted, and the coffee we served Our mission became simple: Inspire and educate through a premium, personable, and approachable experience Our philosophy is humble: We never settle for good enough; we strive to learn and grow daily.
